A Warm Welcome to Our New Operations queen!
This feels like such exciting news to share, the lovely Kate Cullip is officially joining the JD team as my right-hand woman 💃
You’ll definitely recognise Kate from the group. She’s been an active, thoughtful, and joyful presence in the community for ages, cheering others on, sharing her own gorgeous outfits, and embodying everything the Joyfully Dressed ethos stands for.
After recently welcoming a new baby to her growing family, she’s also decided to add a new kind of role into her life and I couldn’t be happier that she’s bringing that same joy, thoughtfulness, and unmatched spreadsheet energy to JD.
Speaking to Kate just felt right. She gets this space. She gets you. And she gets how important it is that Joyfully Dressed isn’t just about clothes it’s about confidence, connection, and community.
👯♀️ So what will Kate be doing?
Along with helping me keep everything running like clockwork behind the scenes, you’ll see her popping up regularly in the Facebook group as one of our new admins. She’ll be helping me keep track of:
All your brilliant outfit posts 👗
Lightbulb moments that deserve a proper celebration 💡
Group requests and questions that need a follow-up ✅
And your ideas the ones that deserve to be seen, shared, and spotlighted 🎉
In other words, she’ll be making sure no one slips through the cracks.
You’ll notice that in the Facebook group she will have an ‘admin’ note by her name.
💬 Why this matters
Hiring Kate is a big step, not just for me behind the scenes, but for all of us. JD has already grown beyond my wildest dreams, and this is the next brilliant step. I’m so committed to this wonderful community we’ve built, because I know the difference it makes to how we feel in our clothes and in ourselves.
Kate will be my eyes and ears, making sure your brilliant ideas and outfits don’t just get a thumbs-up, they get remembered, shared, and built into what we create next.
And it means we can keep growing without losing the intimate, encouraging feel that makes JD so special.
Most of all, it means I’m not doing this alone anymore. We’re building something bigger. Together.
I asked Kate for a few words…
“This feels so surreal to be writing this as Operations Queen (Beks even makes my job title joyful!). When Beks put out her idea, I couldn't let it pass me by, newborn or not. It puts all my organisational skills – the ones that keep my busy household of 5 running smoothly – to perfect use and combines them beautifully with my sheer love of Joyfully Dressed.
I've been a member for just over 2 years now and have thrived in this space. (I'm a spring hourglass in case you were wondering!) I've seen firsthand the difference knowing your colour season and body shape can make, not only to your wardrobe but to so much more. My confidence and self-love have grown and I was fortunate to have a joyfully dressed pregnancy. I could use my skills to help me dress my pregnant bump and post-baby bod with such ease, especially with the support and inspiration from the community. And speaking of community... I'm beyond excited to help support and celebrate the wonderful people I share this space with, because women raising each other up and cheering each other on is just magical.”
Pop into the group and say hi to Kate! She’s got her spreadsheet. She’s got her tea. And she’s so ready to cheer you on.
And here’s her first JD “rule” (and it’s a good one): make a point of commenting on 2 other people’s pictures as you scroll through the group today. Whether it’s sharing advice or simply just telling someone how fabulous they look because kindness is contagious!!
P.S. Don’t worry, I’m still in the group doing everything I was doing before! This just means I’ve now got a little help to make it all run even more smoothly.
P.P.S. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who showed interest in this role, especially those of you I spoke to during the process. I was genuinely blown away by the talent, warmth, and love for JD that came through in every conversation. It honestly means so much. This is just the beginning, and I hope there’ll be more opportunities to grow the team and bring more of you on board in the future. 💛
