Colours for each season during summer

The weather might be all over the place, but we’re embracing the belief that it’s sunshine season.☀️
One thing that can feel tricky is working out how to use your seasonal colours at different times of the year. But really, it’s all about adapting what you already have. Your colour season doesn’t change — it’s just a case of picking the shades that feel right for the season you’re in.

Spring

Think: Sunshine, joy, and fresh blooms.

  • Lean into your lightest brights -coral, peach, aqua, and golden yellow are your summer besties.

  • Ivory or warm cream is your go-to neutral — softer and more flattering than bright white.

  • Accessorise with cheerful pops like mint earrings or a peachy lip to tie everything together.

Summer

Think: Misty mornings, pastel skies, wildflowers.

  • Go for your cooler, softer shades — lilac, periwinkle, blush pink, and dove grey work beautifully.

  • Swap navy for soft denim or chalky blue for a summery feel.

  • Use silver-toned jewellery or soft pearl details to add that elegant Summer sparkle.

Autumn

Think: Sun-drenched earth, clay tones, shady gardens.

  • Choose your lightest warm tones — think terracotta, burnt peach, sage, and warm sand.

  • Linen in muted neutrals (camel, olive, cream) will feel seasonal but still flattering.

  • Earthy jewellery (wood, brass, amber) complements your palette without being heavy.

Winter

Think: Ice lollies, crisp edges, strong contrasts.

  • You don’t have to wear pastels! Go for bold brights with white — fuchsia, cobalt, icy blue.

  • Keep your contrast levels high: try black shorts + white tee + bright lipstick.

  • Icy tones like pink, lavender, and mint are your secret summer weapon — cool and punchy.

No matter your season, summer dressing doesn’t have to mean stepping outside your palette. 🌞

Just think about how you wear your colours, go lighter in fabric, fresher in feel, and a little looser in structure. This months summer challenge is the perfect place to play around with some of these colour combinations!
