Graphic tee + barrel trousers + coloured bomber
This is suitable for a spring season
This is one of those combinations that just works, every time (and one I personally like a lot!)
The formula is simple: start with a graphic tee as your focal point, add a relaxed wide-leg trouser in a neutral, then layer a coloured bomber on top to pull it all together. The bomber is doing the heavy lifting here, it takes what could be a basic casual outfit and makes it feel considered and complete.
The trick with this formula is picking up a colour from your tee for the bomber and accessories. Here the lime green echoes the tropical graphic, and the matching bag and earrings carry that colour through without it feeling overdone.
Finish with a simple flat shoe in a neutral, something light and elegant that lets the rest of the outfit do the talking.
All of these items are available to shop in the Spring Curated Wardrobe
Body shape adaptations:
Hourglass — Half-tuck the tee to define your waist before adding the bomber. These trousers are a great shape for you.
Triangle — The graphic tee draws the eye upward which works brilliantly for you. The barrel trouser adds volume at the hip in a relaxed, intentional way, lean into it!
Circle — A small front-tuck on the tee creates a little definition before the bomber goes on. Keep the bomber open for a long, clean line.
Rectangle — The half-tuck adds shape at the waist. The volume of the barrel trouser and the bomber together creates curves, this formula actually works really well for you.
Inverted Triangle — The wide barrel trouser is your best friend here, it beautifully balances broader shoulders. To play with colour, try a bolder trouser with a more neutral jacket, and if you prefer a lower neckline swap the graphic tee for a plain v-neck to keep the focus on your bottom half.
Remember these are just suggestions for ‘balancing’ your body shape, take what works for you skip what doesn’t.
