Christmas Jumpers

I love a good Christmas jumper. They’ve fully come back into fashion over the last few years, and the shops are absolutely full of them right now.

What I love most is how many different styles now count as a “Christmas jumper”. You’ve got everything from full-on novelty (give me a gingerbread man any day), to subtle sparkle, to fair-isle patterns (which there are LOADS of this year) that subtly suggest “festive” without shouting it. I’m equally happy in a bold novelty knit or something with just a hint of Christmas that I can throw on with jeans and instantly feel a bit more joyful.

And a quick note on colour seasons. You know I love dressing in our best colours, but honestly? Christmas jumpers are one of the categories where I don’t think it’s 100% essential. Some seasons have loads of great festive options… others, not so much. So don’t put pressure on yourself to find the perfectly on-season knit.

Remember lots of jumpers have patterns as well, so sometimes we are just looking for something that has some of our seasonal colours in it!

If you love the traditional colours, wear them.
If you want to stay conscious of undertone, choose a jumper that leans a little warmer or cooler for your linked season (Spring/Autumn for warm, Summer/Winter for cool).
And if you know that bright or muted colours suit you best, let that guide you too.

The whole point is to feel festive, cosy, and joyful, so pick the one that makes you smile.
