Spring Trends
I always love doing a little trend round-up as we move into a new season.
And no, this is not your cue to go out and buy everything on the list.
It’s simply about noticing what people are wearing and having a think if any of them might be something you would want to add to your wardrobe this season.
Brooches
These started appearing last year, but they’ve properly stepped into the spotlight now. Pinterest and fashion editors are predicting them as one of the key accessory movements this spring.
What’s fun? They’re not just being worn on a blazer lapel.
I’ve seen them:
Pinned onto jumpers
Clustered on denim jackets
Securing a wrap top in place
Added to handbags
Even dotted across jeans
They’re such an easy way to add personality and intention to a simple outfit, especially if you lean more maximalist or artistic.
And the best part? They don’t need to be expensive. This is exactly the sort of treasure you can hunt down in a charity shop or vintage market.
Lace
The love for lace isn’t going anywhere in 2026.
But this isn’t about full Victorian drama (unless that’s your thing). It’s about subtle texture and romantic detailing.
What I’ve been seeing:
Lace collars layered under knitwear
Delicate lace-trim blouses
Lace tops layered under jumpers.
Even lace belts adding softness to tailoring
It’s that soft-meets-structure contrast that makes it feel modern.
Think:
A crisp blazer… with a whisper of lace peeking out.
A simple jumper… elevated with a lace collar underneath.
It’s a really lovely way to add femininity without going full frill.
Cobalt Blue
If summer yellow hit the shops last spring, then Cobalt blue is having a moment this year, and honestly I couldn't be happier as I LOVE this shade (and always snap it up when I see it in the shops!)
It’s so bright and bold, and if it’s a colour you feel confident wearing it’s great to find something even if it’s just an accessory that works.
Peplums
The Peplum is back again, but worn slightly different to how we were all wearing it years ago. Then it was more ‘office chic’ and now it’s more structural and interesting.
It’s a particularly great buy, if your someone who wants to create curves (rectangles) or love emphasising your waist (hourglass)
This time around it’s worn more casually with volume on your lower half (as opposed to when we were wearing it with pencil skirts and skin tight jeans)
Are any to these things you will be thinking about adding to your spring wardrobe - or are you already ahead of the game and already have items that would work for these trends?
