Olive Knit + Denim Midi + Cream Tee + Animal Print Accents

This outfit is all about balancing soft and structured pieces, the key to making everyday dressing feel intentional.

The cardigan and tee keep things relaxed and comfortable, while the denim midi skirt instantly adds shape and polish without feeling overdressed. It’s a great swap for jeans when you want to feel a little more put-together but still practical.

Tucking in the tee and adding a belt gives the outfit a clear waist and stops it from feeling bulky, while knee boots finish it off with structure and warmth (perfect for those in-between autumn days). Knee boots like this are the perfect solution if you find it tricky to style boots with dresses and skirts when the weather is colder.

The formula works because each piece plays its part casual top half, structured bottom half, and those finishing touches (belt, boots, bag) that make it feel styled rather than thrown together.

Once you know the base works, you can adapt it endlessly for your season, just change the colours or textures to make it feel like you.

Seasonal alternatives:

Not an Autumn season? No problem. You can still recreate this look using items in your own palette.

The trick is to keep the foundation neutral, your printed denim and roll neck, and let your cardigan and accessories bring the outfit to life. Whether that’s warm coral and gold for Springs, the butter yellow for Summers (still on trend now that the weathers got coldeR) or rich rust and moss greens for Autumns.

How to adapt the outfit formula to your body shape?

Hourglass: Belt at the waist to define your shape and keep the knit slightly fitted.
Pear: Choose a darker denim (if you can) and add detail, pattern and colour up top.
Apple: Leave the cardigan open to create vertical lines and skim the waist, you could also match the colour and tone of the skirt to the top beneath your cardigan to create a column of colour.
Rectangle: Use the belt to add shape and try a fuller skirt for curves.
Inverted Triangle: Pick a lighter coloured knit and fuller skirt.
